Alibaba, Brazil Post team up

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba is further enhancing the shopping experience at its shopping websites.

Alibaba has partnered with Correios, Brazil’s state-owned postal services company, to aid Brazilian small and medium businesses sell their products to Chinese consumers through Alibaba-owned retail websites including Tmall.

The partnership will also improve the logistics system between Brazil and China.

This isn’t the first time Alibaba has allied with postal services company. In May, it has bought a minority stake in Singapore Post for around $250 million. It has also entered into partnership agreement with Australia Post to help Australian merchants sell goods to Chinese customers using Alipay.

The alliances come as Alibaba gears up for an IPO in the US.
