Best Buy sticks with China

Best Buy says it will not withdraw from the Chinese market.

In fact, its subsidiary Five Star is planning a further store rollout in the world’s second largest economy.

Best Buy has been reported last month to have hired Bank of America Merrill Lynch to advise it on options including a possible sale of its business in China. However, Five Star has revealed plans to open 11 new stores as part of transformation plan.

Three of those 11 new stores will be located in Nanjing, Yangzhou and Nantong and will be renamed Big Blue.
