Evolution Capital speeds up expansion

Thai restaurant operator Evolution Capital is investing 1.5 billion baht ($46.5 million) to roll out more restaurants at home and abroad.

Evolution Capital, operator of international brands Kyochon, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Domino’s Pizza and owner of bakery brand Mr Jones’ Orphanage, targets up to 250 restaurants across all brands by 2018.

It says it will focus on ramping up the international brands in Thailand by opening 50 new Domino’s Pizza, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Kyochon outlets by the end of the year.

The company has also been granted the rights to operate Domino’s Pizza in Cambodia, with the first two opening before the year ends.

Singh said they’ll expand Mr Jones’ Orphanage to other Southeast Asian countries like Japan and India as well as Middle East through franchising.

“Evolution Capital invested heavily in building the infrastructure to handle the growth of our business. We spent time building the right management team and setting up the whole back-end system, and now we are ready to take the next step in expanding our stores to many branches in the next four years,” he said.
