Filipino coffee chain eyes Middle East

Filipino coffee chain Figaro has signed a partnership deal with Qatar-based Fahad Bin Abdulla (FBA) Group to expand into the Middle East.

The partners plan to set up as many as 40 outlets in GCC countries over the next 10 years, the first of which will open early next year.

“This will further help us in our expansion plans in various countries so that we may continue to serve world-class Filipino coffee not only to fellow Filipinos abroad but also to other coffee lovers who haven’t tried brewed and authentic Filipino coffee,” said Figaro media relations head Annesy del Mundo.

Figaro currently has 72 domestic and seven overseas outlets.
