Thailand’s Black Canyon launches new brand

Black Canyon has launched a new cafe and restaurant brand – Cafe interia.

Styled as vintage, Cafe interia is located at Festival Walk zone at Siam Future Development’s Kaset-Nawamin. The cafe is the company’s fifth restaurant after Black Canyon, My Bread, Gelatoni ice cream and Cafe Nero.

The inaugural Cafe interia, which measures more than 100sqm, offers a wide range of fusion foods combining East and West including spaghetti with green curry sauce, spaghetti with red panang shrimp sauce and fusilli noodles in tom yum. According to marketing and brand communication director Kannika Chinprasithchai, it cost the company a several million baht to fit out the cafe.

Black Canyon, founded in 1983, now has 211 cafes and bakeries throughout Thailand.

Fifteen more restaurants and cafes are planned to open this year with a needed investment of two to five million baht each.

During the massive flooding in the country, Black Canyon suspended operations at 40 of its outlets and discontinued some menu items due to the shortage of ingredients.

The company says it plans to open new distribution centres in less flood-prone areas and collaborate with multiple suppliers to ensures supplies are less restricted.
