Thai furniture chain Index Living Mall and Qatar-based furniture retailer Al Meera Holding formed a partnership which will see launch of the Thai brand in Qatar.

Al Meera Holding is a subsidiary of Al Meera Consumer Goods Company, a wholesaler of foodstuffs and consumer goods which owns and manages consumer outlets including supermarkets. It also plans to launch Index Living Mall in neighbouring countries including Oman, Jordan and Egypt.

“Our agreement with ILM, a global brand based in Thailand that provides premium home furnishings, is well within the realm of our expansion plan,” said Al Meera deputy CEO Mohamed al-Qahtani.

“We look forward to launching the brand in Qatar shortly,” Qahtani added.

Al Meera has also recently partnered with French retailer Casino Guichard-Perrachon.

In the Middle East, Index Living Mall is also present in Dubai, via a franchise agreement with Retail Is Detail.
