Crabtree & Evelyn enters Pakistan

UK beauty retailer Crabtree & Evelyn is now in Pakistan with first store at Dolmen City Mall in Karachi.

Crabtree & Evelyn is distributed by a local partner Cosmo Group, which has also brought other international health and beauty premium brands to Pakistan.

“Pakistan has the potential to be the primary target for all British brands who want to benefit from this relatively untapped market. We were delighted to work with Cosmo Group in helping Crabtree and Evelyn achieve this milestone,” said Adam Thompson, British High Commissioner, who attended the inauguration of the store.

“The opening of this facility is expected to not only enhance the friendly image of premium retail but also provide the emotional experience and aspiration to the consumers,” Fouad Sayeed, director of Cosmo Group, said.

Crabtree & Evelyn joins other British retailers in Pakistan such as Mothercare, Next, Body Shop, Toni & Guy and Debenhams.

With the addition of Crabtree & Evelyn, trade between Pakistan and the UK is expected to grow to £2.5 billion (US$3.9 billion) by 2015 from current £1.9 billion (US$3.01 billion).

Cosmo Group plans aggressive investment in the future and intends to expand its commercial retail concepts in Islamabad and Lahore.
