K10 Group mall venture

Indian business house K10 Group, with diversified businesses including tobacco, construction, trading, food products and exports, will venture into shopping centres through K10 Mall.

K10 Group has appointed mall advisory group Beyond Squarefeet to conceptualise, plan, market and lease the new K10 Mall, to be located in Jalna, Aurangabad.

The 225,000 sqft mixed use project will be spread over four levels of retail adjacent to a three-star business hotel.

The mall’s attractions include three-screen multiplex, 15-tenant food court, single floor hypermarket, family entertainment centre spread over 8000 sqft, fine dining restaurants, QSRs and cafes and multi-layered car park. The mall will also house a department store, electronics stores, and an eclectic mix of fashion brands.

Ketan Shah, K10 Group’s chairman, said it has been the company’s goal to create projects which meet the lifestyle of Jalnaites.

“K10 Mall is one such project for us and I am sure this project will add a lot of glamour to the locals and also put Jalna on the ‘Map of Malls’.

Susil Dungarwal, chief mall mechanic, Beyond Squarefeet, added: “We are proud to be associated with K10 Mall, in Jalna, as the tier II and Tier III towns have now become the cynosures for the new malls to be set up in the country. Our research shows that 78 per cent of the upcoming malls in India today are in non-metro towns, clearly defining the shift.”
