Key Cushman & Wakefield appointment

Cushman & Wakefield has named Sanjay Dutt as executive MD for South Asia.

Dutt will be responsible for leading Cushman & Wakefield’s India operations along with spearheading the growth strategy for other South Asian markets including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal. His key focus will be to manage and augment Cushman & Wakefield’s highly successful India operations and to enhance the firm’s service delivery capabilities to clients.

Dutt will be charged with increasing the company’s market share in India and take responsibility for assessing expansion opportunities in other emerging markets; thereby enabling integrated services, reach and widened scope of delivery to clients.

He will also join Cushman & Wakefield’s regional Executive Leadership Council (ELC), the firm’s apex executive body and think tank for strategy formulation and executive oversight of the business across Asia Pacific.

Sanjay Verma, CEO, Asia Pacific of Cushman & Wakefield said the appointment is part of the company’s overall growth strategy to create a dominant position for Cushman & Wakefield.

Dutt has more than 20 years of experience as a real estate professional and entrepreneur and is a respected business leader in the Indian market. HE has held management positions at various firms, including CB Richard Ellis and Jones Lang LaSalle India. He is also on the board of RE Zone, a real estate fund in India.

He succeed Anurag Mathur who will be moving on from Cushman & Wakefield India after 13 years.
