Benoy expands in Malaysia

Benoy, the firm of architects, masterplanners, interior and graphic designers, has expanded into Malaysia, opening an office in Kuala Lumpur.

Richard Lee, associate director and a resident of Kuala Lumpur, who has been with Benoy since 2008, will be leading the team there.

“The opening of this office, in my home city, demonstrates our on-going commitment to our clients in this growing market,” said Lee.

Benoy’s retail projects include Westfield London, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Ion Orchard Singapore, Shanghai IFC Mall and Elements in Hong Kong.

Simon Blore, MD for Asia, said the new office in Kuala Lumpur reflects the company’s continuing success and growth across the region and in Malaysia.

“Recent important project wins in Kuala Lumpur have contributed to the sense that the time is right for Benoy to put down firmer roots in Malaysia, so that we can strengthen our service and client management,” said Blore.

Benoy was founded in 1947 in the UK and opened its first Asian office in Hong Kong in 2002. Since then Benoy has expanded across Asia and the Middle East with a global team of over 500.

The Kuala Lumpur office joins Benoy’s existing eight global offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, Mumbai, Abu Dhabi, London and Newark.
