British brand Lipsy is to continue its global expansion with plans to enter India.
Lipsy, acquired by Next in 2008, has inked deal with Brand Marketing India (BMI) to market in India.
“This is a key milestone in our international expansion and underscores the international appeal of our brand,” said Emma Dobson, head of international, Lipsy.
BMI, which launched and developed international brands Calvin Klein Jeans, Calvin Klein Underwear and French Connection in India, plans to open more than 50 Lipsy stores within five years.
BMI MD Vijay Murjani is confident that Lipsy will be embraced by Indians as it is in its home market.
Lipsy opened first overseas store in Dubai earlier this year and has since expanded in the Middle East.
