Dune to enter India

The UK-based Dune Group and Reliance Brands have entered into an exclusive long-term franchise agreement for India.

“As one of the leading emerging markets, India has been a key territory targeted for development by the Dune Group,” said Mohamediqbal Yacoobali, CEO, Dune international.

He added that Reliance Brands as a local partner does not only understand and reflect Dune’s values, it has a winning combination of people, infrastructure and market muscle.

Through this partnership, Dune Group plans to launch its flagship brand Dune in India next year. Dune has since 1993 offered footwear and accessories for women and men.

Over a period of time, this partnership will also look to launch other brands in Dune’s portfolio into India.

“Dune has beautifully designed, stylish and unique shoes that excite and inspire season after season. The label encapsulates a lifestyle that is chic, urban and is infused with modern style and sensibility that resonates with the contemporary Indian consumers,” said Darshan Mehta, president and CEO of Reliance Brands.

“The brand comfortably sits into a segment which rightfully fills the gap for shoes which offer such unique design sensibility.”
