Scottish lifestyle brand Kinloch Anderson plans to tap opportunities in China stemming from increased demand of luxury products.
Kinloch Anderson plans to open its first stores in Shanghai and Beijing. The brand is also considering opening in secondary cities once it finds the right premises.
“It is the beginning of the story in China. China is a competitive market, it is a difficult market. We are going to take it slowly,” said director Deidre Kinloch Anderson.
Kinloch Anderson, which offers knilts and tartans in its home country, has been in Asia for some time with stores in South Korea, Taiwan and Japan.
Established in 1868, the retailer is a family-owned company renowned for kilts, tartans and all aspects of Highland apparel, the traditional dress of Scotland. It sells blouses, trousers, shoes, bags, gifts and accessories.
