Superdry enters India

Three months after signing a license agreement with Reliance Brands, British brand Superdry has opened its first store in India, in Mumbai.

The store, spread across 1750 sqft, is at Palladium Mall. It stocks apparel and accessories for men and women including t-shirts, polo shirts, hoods and sweats, denim, joggers, tops, dresses, jackets, shirts, knitwear, footwear, and a range of bags.

“Superdry has given birth to a whole new genre of fashion that will find wide appeal amongst the growing numbers of aspirational Indian fashion consumers,” said Reliance Brands CEO Darshan Mehta.

Owned by SuperGroup, Superdry fuses design influences from Japanese graphics and vintage Americana with the values of British tailoring. It has 81 standalone stores in the UK and Ireland, 71 concessions in Harrods, House of Fashion and Selfridges and more than 130 stores across Europe, Australia, the US and Middle East.

Earlier this month, Superdry also opened first Philippines store in Manila at Bonifacio High Street.
