Sergio Rossi reopens Tokyo flagship

Italian designer shoes brand Sergio Rossi has reopened its flagship store in Tokyo, Japan.

The store at Shinjuku Takashimaya spans 40 sqm. Originally opened in 2007, the refurbished store highlights womanly beauty and power. The store was collaboratively designed by Sergio Rossi’s creative director Francesco Russo and London-based design firm Studioilse.

The store now features two main contrasting areas: the front stage and the back stage. The front hosts a chaise longue in red velvet and brass and glass display cases.

The back stage offers a darker, intimate setting with deep blue walls of floor to ceiling curtains. Blue carpet contrasts with zebra skin patterns.

Sergio Rossi specialises in women’s luxury footwear and is owned by French group PPR. The company has 16 points of sales across Japan and it says it is doing well in the Japanese market.
