High end retail mall for Cambodia

Hong Kong-listed hotel, gaming and leisure operator NagaCorp has broke the ground for its mixed-use expansion project in Cambodia.

Situated 200 metres from the existing NagaWorld, the Naga2 will feature two 5-star hotel blocks, a gaming and entertainment complex, a theatre, shopping boutiques, as well as top dining selections.

Spanning a total of 1.2 million sqft, Naga2 will be the first integrated resort in Cambodia that comprises two luxury hotels and a podium block. The first luxury hotel has more than 1000 rooms housed in a 24-storey block with a rooftop pool. The second hotel consists of 50 VIP luxury suites spread across 22 storeys.

A highlight of Naga2 will be the 200,000 sqft of retail space which stretches from NagaWorld to Naga2, also known as the NagaCityWalk. The mall will offer a spectrum of luxury fashion shopping boutiques, as well as top restaurants.

The podium block will incorporate a theatre which can accommodate 3000 audience.

The completion of Naga2 will sharpen NagaCorp’s edge in the Asian entertainment gaming market, especially in light of new and planned integrated gaming projects underway in Vietnam, the Philippines, and Macau.

The expansion project is aimed to tap into the growing potential of Cambodia’s tourism market. Ministry of Tourism statistics show 2.88 million international tourists arrived in 2011 and there has been a 24 per cent increase in tourist arrivals during the first nine months of this year.

Established in 1995, NagaCorp’s wholly owned subsidiary NagaWorld owns, manages and operates a hotel casino entertainment complex in Phnom Penh. It owns a casino license valid for 70 years and exclusive gaming rights for 41 years, from 1995.
