Android’s second store opens in Indonesia

Indonesian electronic retailer Erafone has opened a second Android gadget store called ‘Android Nation’ at Grand Indonesia Mall.

The store sells devices operating Android OS such as phones and tablets. It also offers apps which can be purchased by scanning QR codes and offers consumers Android OS upgrades.

Android Nation sells Android devices manufactured by Samsung, Acer, Dell, HTC, LG, Motorola and Sony, as well as accessories. While managed by Erafone, Android Nation is directly supported by Google, which owns Android OS.

“We provide information to consumers about the Android, starting from the device, the operating system, as well as content,” said Jeremy Sim, business development director of Erajaya Group.

The first Android Nation in Indonesia was opened in July at the Senayan City mall in Jakarta.
