Mega mall for Hyderabad

India company Lanco Group will invest Rs500 crore (US$1.5 billion) in a mega shopping mall in Hyderabad.

At 3 million sqft, Lanco Hills Mega Mall is said to be the largest in South India.

“The mall will be the largest in South India in terms of built up space, as well as largest number of shopping outlets and entertainment options under one roof, and is expected to be completed in the next 30 months,” said Lanco Group in a statement.

The mega mall will be a home to premium shopping, dining and entertainment options such as 12-screen multiplex, 14-lane bowling alley, ice skating rink and kids zone. It will have a multi-level parking for 5000 cars.

Currently, the 1.7 million sqft Mantri Square Mall in Bangalore holds the title of the largest shopping mall in South India. Lanco Hills will also beat the 2 million sqft Pheonix Market City in Mumbai which is India’s current largest mall.

Headquartered in Gurgaon, Lanco Group has businesses in engineering, procurement, natural resources, infrastructure, solar, power and real estate.
