Gelatissimo expands in the Philippines

Australian-owned ice cream and dessert brand Gelatissimo has added a new store in the Philippines.

The new Gelatissimo store at SM City Mall in Mandaluyong is the brand’s seventh in the country.

Master franchisee Leigh Parker and Maite Moraza brought Gelatissimo to the Philippines in 2008 when they opened first two stores at SM Mall in Cebu.

“With our success in SM Cebu, we believe the new Gelatissimo in Mandaluyong Mall will open more doors for future gelaterias in SM Malls throughout Manila, as well as in regional areas of the Philippines,” said Parker.

Parker and Moraza are scheduled to open another two stores at upscale shopping mall Shangri-la Plaza this month.

“We are delighted with Leigh and Maite’s continued success in the Philippines. They always believed that the people of the country would embrace our high quality product, especially as it is made fresh in store daily and this has proven to be the case,” said Gelatissimo joint CEO Dominic Lopresti.
