iTunes hits India, Indonesia

The wait is over for Indians and Indonesians who want to purchase from the iTunes store after Apple added 56 countries to its list, including India and Indonesia.

Apple skipped India and Indonesia when it opened its iTunes store to 13 Asian countries in June. But finally, the two Asian countries have been included in the latest expansion of iTunes store.

The iTunes store features a selection of local and international music from all the major labels and thousands of independent labels. It also features local artists including AR Rahman in India and international artists including The Beatles, Taylor Swift and Coldplay, and world-renowned classical musicians including Lang Lang, Yo Yo Ma and Yuja Wang.

Movie fans can choose from films for rent or purchase from the store, many available in HD, from major studios including 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, The Walt Disney Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures, as well as local distributors.

With the addition of 56 countries, iTunes store is now available to 119 countries worldwide.
