Taiwanese bookstore Eslite is continuing its overseas expansion – its next step Suzhou in eastern China.

The Suzhou store, planned for 2014, would be its first in the mainland. Shanghai and Beijing are also in its plans.

Eslite, which opened first overseas store in Hong Kong at Hysan Place, said it will open more stores in the market.

At home, the bookstore will open a new branch at Songshan Cultural Creative Park in Taipei next year.

Besides books, Eslite’s stores include amenities such as a teahouse, music and video boutique, an art gallery, coffee shop and event room.

The chain has 48 stores in its home market.
