French exhibition and conference organiser, Comexposium plans to hold its first event dedicated to digital and mobile marketing, e-commerce and m-commerce, e-payment and m-payment and fulfillment and delivery in Asia.
The exhibition and conference called ‘E-commerce Asia’ will be held at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong on March 27-28. Five thousand visitors and 120 exhibitors from across Asia Pacific are expected to converge in Hong Kong for these two events to network, source suppliers and learn about industry trends.
According to researchers Cap Gemini’s World Payment Report 2012, technological innovation and increasing demand for alternative payment channels is driving up the number of e-payments and m-payments across the world.
E-payments are forecast to reach 31.4 billion transactions this year, after a sustained growth of 20 per cent for the past four years. M-payments are growing even faster – 52.7 per cent per year to reach 17 billion.
Asia Pacific with its vast population is without a doubt one of the key markets for growth. Japan, South Korea and Australia have already embraced a cashless society and it is strongly believed that mainland China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia and Singapore will follow suit.
When it comes to digital marketing, marketers across Asia Pacific are reportedly planning heavy investment in this area in coming years. According to E-Consultancy’s report State of Digital Marketing Asia Pacific, 70 per cent of client-side marketers say their companies intend to spend more on digital marketing. The research indicated that nearly two-thirds of marketers will choose to use external agencies to provide their digital marketing needs.
“E-commerce Asia exhibition will provide marketers and payment and digital solution suppliers with a strong platform to meet, network and do business,” said Comexposium Shanghai exhibition director Bjoern Kempe.
