RRJ Capital acquires Kingkow

Private equity firm RRJ Capital has acquired a 75-per-cent stake in Hong Kong-based children’s wear retailer Kingkow.

Kingkow, owned by SKC Group, manufactures, designs and retails apparel and accessories for children aged up to 14. It has operations in Hong Kong, mainland China, Taiwan, Macau, Singapore, Thailand and other parts of Asia.

According to The Wall Street Journal, RRJ Capital, founded by Richard Ong in 2011, focuses on private-equity investments in China and Southeast Asia. Its investments include biotech company Triplex Biosciences, diaper maker AAB International Group and oil equipment and services company Frac Tech Holdings.

The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
