Homeshop18 wins accolades

Indian e-commerce company Homeshop18 has won the awards ‘E-retailer of the Year’ and the ‘Best eRetail Marketing Initiative’ during the ‘E-Retail Awards 2013’.

The virtual commerce player was selected as the winner from more than 800 nominations. More than 200 brands ranging from small retailers to the largest supermarket groups were entered.

Homeshop18 started its journey as a TV shopping channel in 2008 and moved into e-commerce in 2011. Today it has over 7 million customers and reaches more than 5.3 million unique visitors every month.

Lately, Homeshop18 took the next big step into e-commerce with ‘Scan N Shop’, India’s first virtual shopping wall at T3 Delhi Airport and mobile apps for iPhone and Android users.

The omnipresence of Homeshop18 across these three mediums and screens has earned the brand ‘E-retailer of the Year’. With a new m-commerce initiative and constant user engagement on social media platforms, it has emerged as a winner for ‘Best eRetail Marketing Initiative’.

“Winning these awards has paid for the sincere efforts that we have put in over the years for the growth of the virtual shopping industry,” said founder and CEO Sundeep Malhotra.
