Corneliani in new India push

Italian brand Corneliani has found a new partner in OLS Luxury, with which it plans to reestablish its business in India.

Corneliani first entered India in 2006 through partnership with Blues Clothing Company, however, the venture failed.

“We have tried to support them, as we do with all of our partners, but in the end the only way to save the reputation of our brand was to find someone else to work with,” said global sales director Cristiano Corneliani.

Corneliani has four stores in India and it says it is looking for possibilities to expand further across the country.

“We are ready to establish the brand in locations such as Chandigarh, Calcutta, Pune and Chennai in order to develop a strong retail network in at least seven or eight of the 14 cities in which 50 per cent of India’s well-off live,” said Corneliani.

“We are looking to target business men, bankers, lawyers but also artists, musicians and sportsmen who appreciate luxury Italian goods.”

Corneliani is known for its suits and sports coats.
