Reiss to expand to India

British fashion brand Reiss will be expanding to India in partnership with Reliance Brands.

The Mumbai-based partner will open five to seven Reiss stores in three years. The new partnership expands Reliance Brands’ portfolio which includes Zegna, Diesel and Kenneth Cole.

“Reiss is truly a dual-gender brand offering both clothing and accessories. This is a brand which fits in well at the mass premium level, so it is affordable for a growing number of Indian consumers who want to graduate a notch higher from mass brands but cannot afford luxury,” said Reliance Brands president and CEO Darshan Mehta.

Reiss was established in the UK in 1971. It later expanded to international markets including China, Russia and Dubai. The brand, which sells men’s and women’s wear, accessories and footwear, has around 100 stores worldwide.

“India is an exciting new market for the brand and one that we feel will understand the benefits of the luxury bridge experience,” Reiss said.
