China’s ‘tallest bookstore’ opens

A bookstore which opened in China on April 29 has been dubbed the “tallest bookstore in China”.

The store, called Paper’s Time at A Luo Hai City Plaza in Xiamen, contains bookshelves nine metres tall, meaning customers need a ladder to reach top stock, reports What’s On Xiamen.

Paper’s Time offers books about culture, science, design, art and more.

“Most of the books in our store are relating to specific fields, catering for readers who are thirsty for knowledge,” said bookstore owner Lin Huimin.

The two storey bookstore also features a cafe on the first floor where customers can sit and relax over a cup of coffee or tea while the second floor also functions as venue for activities such as lectures and painting exhibitions.
