Umbra opens concept store in China

Home accessories and decor retailer Umbra will open next month its first concept store in China.

The concept store will occupy a 1700 sqft space at Jinqiao Mall in Shanghai. It will house gift and houseware collection such as clocks and photo displays, bath and kitchen accessories and more.

“Umbra began producing its original home décor designs in Canada over 33 years ago. I am proud to say that we have stayed true to the original idea of functional, original, beautiful products that often have a sense of fun and excitement,” said Les Mandelbaum, Umbra’s president and co-founder.

“Umbra creates thousands of products for every room in the home and these are found in stores all over the world. Although Umbra is well known, few customers have any idea of the number of products we make; so an Umbra freestanding store is the best way to demonstrate this,” said Mandelbaum.
