Coty acquires StarAsia

French beauty company Coty will acquire its Southeast Asian distributor StarAsia from its parent company Isibane Pte. Ltd.

Singapore-based StarAsia has been distributing Coty products in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Cambodia, Taiwan, Singapore and Vietnam for more than 10 years.

Coty CEO Michele Scannavini said the acquisition will provide the company with an established distribution platform to sell its mass brands in key developing markets in Southeast Asia.

Post acquisition, the existing management team of StarAsia will continue to lead the development of Coty’s business in the region.

“Our multicultural organisation combines international experience with local know-how and I am confident that our talented team will fit in very well at Coty,” said StarAsia CEO Noe Saglio.
