Japanese lifestyle retailer Muji will open a flagship store in Hollywood, California in November.

To be called Muji Hollywood, the store will be located in the Hollywood Galaxy Shopping Centre at 7021 Hollywood Boulevard, in a former nightclub space.

When it opens, Muji Hollywood will be the largest Muji store in the US with approximately 8600 sqft of retail floor space. The store will offer the retailer’s wide range of products along with new lines, including food, Muji Labo and Found Muji.

Muji, translated as “no-brand quality goods”, offers products such as stationeries, household items and apparel. The essence of Muji products lies in its simplicity, flexibility and modesty to fit different life styles and individual preferences.

Originally founded in Japan, Muji does not direct its products to be affected by any trends and “isms”, rather, aims to be universally relevant.

Hollywood, the center of visual entertainment, attracts millions of people annually from all over the world.

Muji Hollywood will be the retailer’s eighth store in the US after Muji Soho, Muji Times Square, Muji Chelsea and Muji Cooper Square in New York City, Muji to Go at John F. Kennedy International Airport, Muji Soma in San Francisco and Muji San Jose.
