BentoWeb to expand Asianwide

Thai online marketplace BentoWeb has set its eyes offshore after testing the ground locally for 15 months.

BentoWeb, which connects merchants to consumers, currently offers more than 50,000 products from more than 15,000 merchants.

One of the platform’s features is the ease of using it, and that’s what makes the brand stand out from its competitors such as Rakuten’s Tarad.com and aCommerce, says founder Nutthaseth Sirinanthananon.

“I try to build BentoWeb focusing on user interface. I want to make it as friendly as possible so that anyone, with less e-commerce experience, can use,” said Sirinanthananon.

BentoWeb is available in Thai and English languages and allows credit card payments as well as offline payments at 7-Eleven stores.

Sirinanthananon said that BentoWeb is now ready to expand beyond Thailand, starting with Indonesia, Singapore and Japan. Next month, he will meet with a potential partner in Japan.
