Mango builds China megastore

Spanish retailer Mango says it will open megastores around the world to offer customers with one-stop shopping experience.

The first will open in Shanghai, China. The megastore concept features large stores-in-store with areas from 500sqm to 1500sqm in shopping malls. It includes the latest series of fashion products under various brands of Mango, providing one-stop shopping experience to consumers.

Mango also plans to introduce its sub-brands H.E. by Mango and Mango Kids to the Chinese market. Mango Kids targets children between three and 12. This series not only includes basic apparel, but also fashion clothing for children. Mango Kids has its own designer team, and established a management and procurement system for new products.

The first H.E. by Mango store in China, selling menswear, will open at Jing An Kerry Centre in Shanghai.

This year will also see Mango opening a 2300 sqm megastore in Munich, Germany and a 3000 sqm largest store in Ankara, Turkey.

Mango, which saw its profit grew 79 per cent to 113 million euros in 2012, has more than 2600 stores in 107 countries.
