Domino’s Pizza opens 600th Indian outlet

Domino’s Pizza has opened its 600th outlet in India.

The new outlet brings to India the newly launched “Pizza Theatre” concept which features an open kitchen that brings theatrics and skill of making pizza in front of guests.

The concept which has already been adopted in Domino’s Pizza outlets across many international markets has been designed to enhance the consumer engagement and experience by having a unique open display kitchen and restaurant layout in the quick service restaurant category.

“By bringing the “Pizza Theatre” concept to India, Domino’s Pizza has fortified its promise to deliver the best consumer experience even for the dine-in guests,” said Jubilant Foodworks, the operator of Domino’s Pizza in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.

“Our reach and growth is testimony to our constant endeavour to provide our consumers with the most satisfying out-of-home food experience whether it is home delivery occasion or dine-in at our restaurants,” says Jubilant Foodworks CEO Ajay Kaul.

According to Eurominotor, Domino’s Pizza, with a share of 67 per cent, leads the organised pizza market in India.

The pizza chain plans to open 100 new outlets by March 2014 in India’s smaller cities and towns, where it sees tremendous growth potential.
