J Brand debuts in Japan

Premium denim brand J Brand is to open its first store in Japan on October 9.

The store will occupy 20 sqm on the fourth floor of Osaka Hankyu Umeda Main Store.

It will embody a “clean and modern aesthetic” design and will offer a wide range of apparel, with a focus on denim.

“Partnering with Hankyu, a leading luxury retailer, for our first shop presence in Japan is an exciting strategic collaboration,” said founder and CEO Jeff Rudes.

Headquartered in California with global distribution, J Brand specialises in premium women’s and men’s denim, along with women’s apparel. It retails at more than 2000 premium department stores and select shops across 20 countries worldwide.

J Brand is majority owned by Uniqlo parent Fast Retailing.
