Lenovo goes online in India

Tech companies Lenovo and HP are taking the online route to boost sales in India.

Chinese company Lenovo has partnered with Net Distribution Services to launch thedostore.com.

The online store will offer more than 50 premium Lenovo products, including the ‘Think’ brand products as well as accessories.

Lenovo says the move is part of its effort to ‘get closer to the consumers’.

“Our customers are spread across the country and we realised that apart from on-ground availability, online retail presence is key to make the brand more accessible to our customers. With this portal, we will be able to cater to a much larger audience across the country,” said director Shailendra Katyal, consumer business, Lenovo India.

American technology company HP, through Savex Computers, has also launched its e-commerce hpshopping.in which sells HP’s products including laptops, tablets, desktops, printers, scanners and accessories.
