Korean bakery chain Paris Baguette is to open a store at Changi Airport in Singapore.

Changi Airport is the world’s seventh busiest international airport handling an average 140,000 passengers a day, an ideal location for the chain given the number of Asian travellers transiting there.

The Changi Airport store is the chain’s third in Singapore after Orchard Rd and Jurong stores.

The company also said Singapore will be the chain’s springboard for further expansion to other Southeast Asian countries.

“By linking the markets that we have already presence in such regions as China, the US and Vietnam, we will create an SPC global belt by adding more locations in other Asian emerging markets,” said an official from SPC Group.
