Baskin-Robbins in Thai expansion

American ice cream brand Baskin-Robbins is planning to expand its Thailand outlets to 100 over the next decade.

Thailand, with a large population and a tourist destination, offers a great opportunity for Baskin-Robbins, says its local franchisee Mudman Group. It added that the country’s ice cream market is worth 15 billion baht ($481.5 million).

Baskin-Robbins just opened its 21st outlet in Thailand at The Walk shopping mall on Kaset-Nawamin Rd.

In Southeast Asia, Baskin-Robbins is also present in Indonesia (300 outlets), Malaysia (75 outlets), Vietnam (15 outlets) and Singapore (seven outlets). It is planning to expand to the Philippines by the end of this year or early next year.

Worldwide, the ice cream brand has 7000 outlets.
