M&S opens first Suzhou store

British brand Marks & Spencer has opened its first store in the Chinese city of Suzhou.

The store is located on Guangian St and spans 2900 sqm over three floors. It is the brand’s 16th in the nation, offering women’s clothing, men’s clothing, children’s clothing, accessories, shoes, pajamas, and underwear.

M&S says China is an important market for its international expansion. Guangian St, a business area, is a strategic location, it says.

Founded in 1884, M&S also sells its products through China’s online shopping platform Tmall.
