Uniqlo adds Thai stores

Japanese apparel brand Uniqlo has responded to increasing demand in Thailand with three new stores.

The additional stores will be at Central Festival Chiang Mai, Central Rama II and Tesco Lotus Phuket.

The new stores feature sales floors in excess of 1000 sqm each, and carry the full range of Uniqlo products.

“Uniqlo sees increasing demand from both locals and visitors in Thailand, and, working with our partners, is expanding rapidly. This latest launch brings us a total of 14 stores across the country,” said Takahiro Nishimura, COO of Uniqlo Thailand.

Uniqlo aims to take its overseas store count to 644 by the end of August 2014. Its parent company Fast Retailing aims to become the biggest clothing retailer in the world by 2020.
