Taiwan tops the list of destinations where consumers can get the best value for money for their gifts.
A survey by Hotels.com says Taiwan is the ultimate destination offering the greatest value for bargain hunters this Christmas.
With the shopping lists in each country converted to Indian currency, Taiwan was found, on average, to have a combined shopping basket of Rs.93,088.34, followed by Japan (Rs.130,926.23) and Argentina (Rs.131,430.26) in second and third place.
Brazil was the country with the most expensive shopping basket at Rs.302,915.13, over Rs.110,000 more than the global average of Rs.185,687.21.
“Christmas shopping always seems to be more alluring when done abroad and what’s better than combining gift buying with a holiday. Our shopping basket is a great way for consumers to find the best places to pick up Christmas bargains,” said Alison Couper of the Hotels.com.
