Australian skincare company Anumi has expanded into Hong Kong with its first branded outlet at Tsim Sha Tsui.
The first store opened on Nathan Rd, capitalising on the large number of visitors in the area.
The company also plans to open its first Anumi Organic Experience Centre in Hong Kong in the middle of 2014.
Director Belinda Leung said that the new Hong Kong outlet is an important step in building the Anumi brand in Asia.
“We have seen very keen demand for natural and safe-to-use skincare products among local customers and overseas visitors in Hong Kong. The city offers an attractive retail environment as there is no import tax, so by setting up here we can import our natural products from Australia at relatively lower cost,” Leung said.
She said that Anumi aims to get a major share in the natural skincare market as its organic products are certified organic according to the Australian Organic Standard.
“The skincare market in Hong Kong is very strong and there is untapped demand in the organic products segment, so there is great potential for us to grow in Hong Kong and expand further in the region via the city,” she said.
