Crabtree & Evelyn debuts in Macau

Body and home products retailer Crabtree & Evelyn has opened its first store in Macau in the Travessa do Bispo.

“When you come into the shop, you get a scent of the UK, Britishness and that heritage. That’s what we really want people to feel,” said Sue Lewis, CEO of Hong Kong and Asia export markets at Crabtree & Evelyn.

“Opening right before Christmas and the Chinese New Year, it’s really a good time for us,” she said.

The store offers signature products such as hand therapy formulas, home fragrances, bath gel and more.

Crabtree & Evelyn is present in several Asian countries including Taiwan and Hong Kong, where its demand is predominantly strong.

“Because we are a retail brand, globally we have many points of distribution, but in Hong Kong we are predominantly sold in our own stores. As a brand you can express your look and feel, your image, and the message you want to communicate in your own retail store,” said Lewis.

The retailer will also soon open a store in Shenzhen’s duty-free zone.

Crabtree & Evelyn has more than 6000 locations and 500 concept stores in over 40 countries worldwide.
