Indomaret plans massive expansion

Indoritel Makmur Internasional, through its subsidiary Indomarco Prismatama, plans a massive expansion across Indonesia.

The minimart operator plans to open 1300 new Indomaret stores next year in addition to the existing 8039.

Indoritel director Evensius Go said the company will invest 1.3 trillion rupiah ($109 million) to support the plan.

He said consumer demand in the country is continuously growing, which makes the company optimistic about the future of the business.

Indoritel also holds a stake in Fast Food Indonesia, which operates Kentucky Fried Chicken.
