Big Tree Group to open in Thailand

Chinese toy distributor Big Tree Group is expanding its sales presence in the Southeast Asia market.

It has entered into an agreement with Bumrung Muang Plaza Company to lease about 4000 sqm of sales space in Bangkok.

“In addition to building our strong presence in regions such as the European Union and North America, we are targeting future growth from emerging economies,” said CEO Wei Lin.

“With expectations for strong economic growth in Southeast Asia, especially in Thailand, in the coming years, we expect the toy industry here to grow at a very healthy pace for the foreseeable future as more consumers increase their discretionary spending.”

Asia currently represents the third largest regional market for global toy sales, trailing only North America and the European Union.

According to many industry experts, Asia will become the largest market for traditional toys and games in this decade.
