Church’s debuts in Japan

English footwear brand Church’s has opened its first store in Japan in Tokyo’s upscale Omotesando district.

The new store, designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, has an overall surface area of 95 sqm, with a facade characterised by large windows embellished by an oak wood backdrop.

Inside, the atmosphere is sophisticated, with a Canaletto nut wood flooring and oak furniture alternating with mirrors defining the ground floor that offers the men’s and women’s collections.

An elegant oak-covered staircase leads to the first floor, where the accessories collection is also displayed. Small salons furnished with green leather seats and crystal and wood counters showcase the products and enhance their visibility.

The Omotesando opening is a big step for the brand that further consolidates its presence in Asia after opening in China, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Church’s was established in 1873 and is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Prada Group.
