Danish retailer Bestseller plans to seek approval to open multi-brand stores in India.
Bestseller plans to sell its brands Jack & Jones, Vero Moda and Only under one roof.
The company has also applied to operate single-brand stores there. Currently, it sells its brands separately, through its local franchisee Bombay Rayon Fashion.
Should Bestseller gets the approval to invest in multi-brand retail, it will be the second company after UK’s Tesco to open multi-brand stores in India.
The company posted a net loss of Rs34 crore ($6.7 million) in 2013 while its rival Inditex raked in Rs405 crore ($64.8 million) sales.
