Saigon Co.op to open mall
Vietnamese supermarket operator Saigon Co.op is slated to open its first shopping mall on January 20.
The mall, called Sense City, will span 22,000 sqm and will open in the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta City of Can Tho. Saigon Co.op said it invested 200 billion dong ($9.47 million) in the mall.
Saigon Co.op plans to open two new Sense City shopping malls next year in Ca Mau and Ben Tre Province.
The company operates Co.op Mart supermarkets and Co.op food chains in Vietnam.
