Sa Sa reports steady growth

Cosmetics retail group Sa Sa’s retail and wholesale turnover recorded steady growth of 14.8 per cent for the three months to December.

Turnover in Hong Kong and Macau rose by 17.4 per cent while in other markets (including Mainland China, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan) rose 3.8 per cent.

Having added nine stores in the third quarter, Sa Sa now has 280 stores, including nine single-brand counters/stores.

“The group stepped up its promotions from mid-October in the third quarter to draw traffic and encourage spending at our stores. The move successfully boosted consumption sentiment of both local customers and mainland Chinese tourists in Hong Kong and Macau for the quarter,” said CEO Simon Kwok.

Sa Sa says it is cautiously optimistic on the outlook for sales in the fourth-quarter.
