Chinese supermarket chain expands

China’s supermarket chain QKL Stores has opened two new hypermarkets in northeastern China and Mongolia.

The Mongolia store, of approximately 8500 sqft, is located in Zhalantun City, inside the new shopping mall in the center of the city’s commercial district, serving about 160,000 potential Chinese customers.

The other store is in Jiansanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, with a population of approximately 200,000. It is approximately 10,300 sqm in size.

“We look forward to playing an integral role in the retail communities of Zhanlantun and Jiansanjiang City by offering their residents a wide range of high-quality grocery products,” said chairman and CEO Zhuangyi Wang.
