7-Eleven set for expansion

Thai company CP All is set to expand its convenience chain 7-Eleven in Southeast Asia.

“Although the US-based firm has yet to answer our proposal, our intention to tap into a vast business opportunity brought by regional economic integration is unchanged,” said MD Piyawat Titasattavorakul.

CP All plans to open 7-Eleven convenience stores in Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and China.

Recently, CP All set up a unit called Twenty Four Shopping to cater to new-age consumers. It will focus on developing a comprehensive online purchasing system and improving its call centre to support the distribution of products through multiple channels.

To formally begin its operation this month, Twenty Four Shopping will distribute more than 5000 items. Customers can place orders through distribution channels including catalogues on shelves at 7-Eleven outlets as well as its call centre and website.
